About the role:
We are seeking a skilled Legal Manager to join our team and oversee all legal matters related to our operations. As the Legal Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing contracts and agreements, and providing legal counsel to support our business objectives.
Day to day duties:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all legal inquiries and issues within the organization.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, licensing agreements, and partnership agreements.
Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations impacting Montel’s business in Europe, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and implications associated with business decisions.
Manage legal disputes and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure best practices are followed throughout the organization.
Requirements for the role:
Bachelor's degree in Law.
Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, with a focus on corporate or commercial law.
Membership in good standing with the Norwegian Bar Association or equivalent.
Strong understanding of Norwegian and major European legal systems and regulatory frameworks, ideally with a particular interest in the energy sector.
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing business needs.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Native Norwegian speaker.
Additional languages preferably English, German or French.
